Chairwoman Conference Network Finland Ry
Anu Kärkkäinen, MBA, is the chairwoman of Conference Network Finland. Anu is a seasoned restaurant a conference manager with nearly 30 years of managing positions in remarkable conference venues. Before becoming the hostess of the manor at Mukkulan Kartano in 2017 she was the head of conference travel at Kouvola Innovation Oy. Before this she worked at Lahden Sibeliustalo as a head of congress and as a business director for 16 years in total. She has also worked as a restaurant manager at Messilä Maailma Oy and as a head of congress at Paasitorni. In addition to her role as a chairwoman for Conference Network Finland and Vaitonaiset ry she is a board member at Helmi Säästöpankki.

Henrik Karlsson
Client Relations Manager at Benchmarking Alliance
Henrik has a long background within the hotel industry, mainly from Revenue Management, distribution and in-house sales at Radisson Hotels in Stockholm and Gothenburg. Henrik has solid experience from Revenue Management within Meeting & Events. The latest position Henrik held was as Revenue Manager in the newly opened Stockholm Waterfront Hotel & Congress Centre where he built and managed the Revenue- and in house sales departments. Since 2014 Henrik is responsible for customer relations in Benchmarking Alliance with focus on the conference benchmarking product.

Kim Spolén
Director at Infor Hospitality Nordics
Kim Spolén is the director Infor Hospitality Nordics and has a background of working at several of Stockholm’s leading hotels for a total of 20 years, among them Sheraton Hotel, Strand Hotel and the Sergel Plaza Hotel and has also been a consultant during the opening of, among others, a 5-star hotel in Prague. He has wide experience of working with PMS, Channel and Rate Management and is also a frequent speaker on how to work with and optimise social media strategy in hospitality business. Before joining Infor, Kim worked for Hoist Group.

Chris has been with RMS for over 4 years. Throughout this time, he has worked on dozens of semi-annual pricing strategies for Corporate and Franchisee stakeholders in 10 European & Nordic countries. This also includes many ad-hoc analyses on new product tests for example. Prior to joining RMS, Chris was a Market Research Analyst at Nielsen Innovation in France. He also worked as a Policy Analyst for the Ministry of Agriculture of Canada.Chris is a graduate of ISC Paris Business School, Political Studies Institute of Lille and the University of Ottawa.

Fredrik Önrup is one of the founding partners of Pingvinen, a menu engineering company. Fredrik has over 30 years of experience from the hospitality industry. Before he started Pingvinen he worked at various restaurants including Le Village, Gothenburg, Sunwing Resort, Mallorca and Grand Hotel, Stockholm. At Grand Hotel he was Director of F&B, Business Controller, and Revenue Manager. He has a BA in hospitality management from Gothenburg School of Economics and has taken Revenue Management courses at Cornell University and Johnsson & Wales University.

Tom Tarmann
Managing Director at TAC IT Nordic Oy, TRUSTYOU
Tom Tarmann has worked in and with the hospitality branch for more than 25 years. Having previously worked for companies like Amadeus Hospitality (nowadays Infor) and ADS Anker (nowadays Oracle), he has delivered hundreds of Spa-, Property-, Channel-, and Revenue Management as well as Restaurant Point of Sales projects. Seven years ago, he started a joint venture with TAC GmbH providing consulting and IT solutions for the Hospitality, Spa and Fitness industries, focusing on how to increase revenue and optimize operations.

Lawrence started his career in F&B Operations which is where his passion for the business still lies, and specializes in F&B and Group Sales & Catering Revenue Management, and is happiest when he is helping to develop multi-functional teams to exceed profitable expectations.
He lives in Belgium with his family.

Jeroen Gulickx

Jeroen is a well-travelled hospitality professional with 20+ years’ experience within the Hotel & Spa segment. He is the author of

With a background in Engineering Physics and Software Development, Simon might be a bit of a strange bird in the hospitality industry. He is familiar with Shopper marketing since working for Leaf sweets company.
Hannu has worked in hospitality business for the past 10 years, where he started with Otrum the TV-systems and was in charge of global hotel chains in Europe.
Hannu got an idea for a new type of service for hotels two years ago, when he noticed digitalisation was still far from the daily life of the industry. - The Hotelway was born.

Henry’s professional background is split into two parts. 10 years in a restaurant industry - culminating as a restaurateur at Restaurant Postres - and another 10 years as an alcohol importer of which 6 years in leadership roles at the Servaali Oy.
Henry loves restaurant business passionately and wants to create applications and tools to solve restaurateurs every day challenges.

Anna Israelsson describes herself as a hotelier with a true passion for technology. After kicking off her career at Availpro as an Account Manager, Anna then evolved within the hospitality industry as a Hotel Manager in a brand new property in Paris, where she realized the impact of technology on hotel performance and success.

Tijl Speetjens

Tijl Speetjens is Business Development Manager for OTA Insight, managing the Benelux and Nordics markets, where he focuses on engaging local and global players in the hospitality industry to share the challenges they face in the digital landscape and aims to provide tools and insights to help hoteliers overcome their technological barriers.
